"Welche Vorteile sehe ich darin in einer kleineren Fachpraxis zu arbeiten?
Heutzutage haben zunehmend kleinere Praxen Probleme bei der Personalaquise, während in den großen Kliniken die Anfangsassistenten freiwillig durch den "Scheuersack" gehen. Warum ist das so?
- fehlendes Selbstbewusstsein der Uniabsolventen - "man kann ja nichts" - also muss man in eine Klinik zum lernen, Lehrjahre sind ja auch keine Herrenjahre, also "muss man da durch"
- Kliniken sind Prestigeträchtiger für den Lebenslauf - hier sollte alles gemacht werden, wie es der Goldstandard der Wissenschaft vorgibt, die Geräte sind neu und teuer, die Fallzahlen hoch. Man kommt aber auch hier nur schnell voran, wenn man auch in der ersten Reihe stehen darf.
- Größere Einheiten bieten flexiblere Arbeitszeitmodelle an und können dadurch eine gute Work - Live - Balance garantieren. Wenn das auch wirklich klappt, ist das toll.
Warum macht es doch Sinn in einer kleineren Praxis zu arbeiten?
- man steht eher in der ersten Reihe und bekommt eine sehr breite Ausbildung
- auch kleinere Praxen können, und wenn sie erfolgreich sein wollen müssen sie sogar, up-to-Date sein
- das Team ist super! Wir arbeiten auch wirklich als Team, alle kennen sich, es gibt Betriebsfeiern und Ausflüge - bei freundschaftlicher Arbeitsatmosphäre geht man gerne und motiviert zur Arbeit
- Individuelle Interessensschwerpunkte können auch in kleineren Praxen gefördert werden
- Langfristige Perspektiven durch unbefristete Arbeitsverhältnisse
- Die Notdienstbelastung ist überschaubar
- eine persönlichere Kundenbindung ist möglich, jeder hat "seine" Besitzer mit denen man die Lebensgeschichten der Tiere erlebt. Durch die komplette Betreuung von der ersten Welpenberatung bis zur Euthanasie und über alle Höhen und Tiefen wird der Patient nie zur identitätslosen Nummer.

Durch Zufall, welche so oft im Leben passieren, bin ich als "Pferdetussi" ohne jegliche Kleintiererfahrung direkt nach dem Studium im tiermedizinischen Zentrum gelandet. Ich hatte noch nicht einmal einen Kater kastriert zuvor - nach nun 5 Jahren in dieser Praxis bin ich aber doch recht weit gekommen. Die Dissertation habe ich als externe Studentin abgeschlossen - neben der Praxistätigkeit, bereite mich nun auf die Fachtierarztprüfung vor. Nach 4 Jahren konnte ich selbstständig minimalinvasive Kastrationen neben den üblichen Standardoperationen durchführen, zusätzlich ist eine Weiterbildung gemäß meiner persönlichen Interessen Bereich Chiropraktik, Physiotherapie und Biomechanik möglich.

"What advantages do I see in working in a smaller specialist practice?
Nowadays, increasingly smaller practices have problems with personnel acquisition, while in the large clinics the initial assistants go through the "scouring bag" voluntarily. Why is that?
- lack of self-confidence of the university graduates - "you can't do anything" - so you have to go to a clinic to study, apprenticeship years are not master years either, so "you have to go through it"
- Clinics are more prestigious for the résumé - everything should be done here as the gold standard of science dictates, the devices are new and expensive, the number of cases high. But even here you can only make rapid progress if you are allowed to stand in the front row.
- Larger units offer more flexible working time models and can thus guarantee a good work-live balance. If that really works, that's great.
Why does it make sense to work in a smaller practice?
- You are more in the front row and get a very broad education
- Even smaller practices can, and if they want to be successful, they even have to be up-to-date
- the team is great! We really work as a team, everyone knows each other, there are company parties and excursions - in a friendly working atmosphere, people enjoy going to work and are motivated
- Individual focal points of interest can also be promoted in smaller practices
- Long-term prospects through open-ended employment
- The emergency service load is manageable
- A more personal customer loyalty is possible, everyone has "his" owner with whom you can experience the life stories of the animals. Thanks to the complete care from the first puppy consultation to euthanasia and through all the ups and downs, the patient never becomes an unidentified number.
.... So what advantages did the big clinic have again?
By chance, which happens so often in life, I ended up as a "horse chick" without any experience of small animals right after my studies at the veterinary center. I hadn't even neutered a male before - but after 5 years in this practice I've come a long way. I completed my dissertation as an external student - in addition to the practical work, I am now preparing for the specialist veterinarian examination. After 4 years I was able to carry out minimally invasive castrations on my own in addition to the usual standard operations. In addition, further training according to my personal interests in the areas of chiropractic, physiotherapy and biomechanics is possible.

Notdienst: wir nehmen an einem Ringnotdienst teil. In der Woche ist ein Nachmittag zur freien Verfügung. Fortbildungsbudget: 2 Tage werden voll bezahlt. In der Regel dann doch mehr, sofern die Fortbildungen für die Praxisentwicklung förderlich ist. Planbare Dienste abhängig, ob Teil- oder Vollzeit.
Emergency service: we take part in a ring emergency service. One afternoon is free during the week. Training budget: 2 days are paid in full. Usually more, if the training is beneficial for practical development. Planned services depending on whether part-time or full-time.

Wir bieten
Wir sind eine GVP zertifizierte Fachpraxis an zwei Standorten für Kleintiere mit WBE in Emsdetten/Münsterland/Nordrhein-Westfalen und Osnabrück. Die Praxen sind über eine Cloud vernetzt. Das Team besteht aus 10 motivierten Mitarbeitern - 3 Tierärzte und 7 TFAs bzw. Azubis. Beide Praxen verfügen über Ultraschall (Farbdoppler), digitales Röntgen, Sofortlabor, OP und Station, hier wird eigentlich alles gemacht, was eine anspruchsvolle Tiermedizin ausmacht: Endoskopie, Arthroskopie, Wirbelsäulen- und Gelenks-, Weichteilchirurgie, innere Medizin, Kardiologie, Reproduktion und Chiropraktik/ Physiotherapie. Die Weiterbildungsermächtigung für die Fachtierarztausbildung für kleine Haustiere liegt vor. Ein QM System hilft die Einarbeitungszeit möglichst belastungsarm zu gestalten.
